1-ABC is a small molecule inhibiting C. albicans filamentation, 1-ABC targets DYRK1-family kinase Yak1, the sole DYRK-family member expressed in C. albicans.
Single amino acid substitutions in the putative phosphatase Oca6 and in the transcription factor Rob1 could bypass the filamentation-repressive effects of 1-ABC.
