AB8939 is a next-generation small-molecule tubulin polymerization inhibitor, binds to tubulin and induces a rapid destabilisation of microtubules.
AB8939 shows broad anti-proliferative activity across the breath of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) subtypes.
AB8939 produces a strong anti-proliferative action against blasts isolated from AML patients with a majority of IC50 values ranging from 1.4 nM to 1.0 µM.
AB8939 demonstrates activity across the entire spectrum of AML subtypes, according to the French-American-British (FAB) AML classification, with an IC50 of < 50 nM in M0, M1, M4, M5 and M6 subtypes, corresponding to over 90% of the AML patient population.
AB8939 showed strong anti-leukemic activity in AMKL26 mouse model as evidenced by the near eradication of blasts.
