    AMG-8718 is a potent, selective, orally active BACE1 inhibitor with IC50 of 0.7 nM, demonstrates limited selectivity for over BACE2 and high selectivity both renin and pepsin.
    BACE1 inhibitor demonstrates dose-dependent decreases in both CSF and brain Aβ levels in rat pharmacodynamic model, with significantly reduced potential for QTc elongation.
