AS2030680 is a potent, selective and brain-penetrating 5-HT5A receptor antagonist with Ki of 0.58, 1.1 and 2.6 nM against human, rat, mouse 5-HT5A receptors, respectively.
AS2030680 displays 15-fold greater selectivity for 5-HT5A over 5-HT1A, 5-HT2B, and 5-HT7 receptors, and no significant affinity for 5-HT2A/3/4 receptors.
AS2030680 (0.01-0.03 mg/kg, p.o.) ameliorated scopolamine-induced working memory deficit in mice and improved reference memory impairment in aged rats.
