    Biological Activity

    ASP9436 (ASP-9436) is a potent, selective, brain penetrant and orally active phosphodiesterase 10A (PDE10A) inhibitor with IC50 of 8.0 nM, >420-fold selectivity over other PDE subtypes.
    ASP9436 attenuates locomotor activity with ED50 of 7.0 mg/kg, and improves visual-recognition memory deficit in animal model for the positive symptoms of schizophrenia.
