Biological Activity
AUT00206 (AUT6) is a specific positive allosteric modulator modulator of Kv3.1/3.2 potassium channels.
AUT00206 has no significant effect on dopamine (DA) synthesis capacity.
AUT00206 can enhance the activity of PV-positive interneurons to rescue gamma frequency cortical and hippocampal network synchrony in vitro.
AUT00206 shows little or no effect on other ion channels, receptors or enzymes.
AUT00206 selectively enhances the firing frequency of Kv3.1-expressing neurons and improves motor function and seizure susceptibility in Kcnc1-Arg320His/+ mice.
