Biological Activity

AX-024 (AX024) is a first-in-class, specific inhibitor of T cell receptor (TCR), specifically inhibits TCR-Nck (SH3.1) interaction and TCR-dependent T cell activation (IC50=1 nM).
AX-024 does not inhibit BCR-triggered B cell proliferation mediated by the SH2 domain of Nck.
AX-024 inhibits the recruitment of endogenous Nck to CD3e, and therefore to the TCR.
Oral administration of AX-024 prevents the development of neurological symptoms in a model of multiple sclerosis (MS).
AX-024 exerts a long-lasting therapeutic effect in the EAE model of MS.
