AZ191 is a potent, selective DYRK1B inhibitor with IC50 of 17 nM, displays 10-fold selectivity over DYRK1A and no activity against DYRK2 (IC50=1890 nM).
AZ191 abolishes DYRK1B drives Thr(286) phosphorylation and proteasome-dependent turnover of CCND1 (cyclin D1) in HEK-293 and PANC-1 cells, but not by GSK3β inhibitors or GSK3β RNAi.
