AZD7009 is an antiarrhythmic agent that inhibits the late sodium current in CHO K1 cells expressing hNav1.5 with IC50 of 11 uM.
AZD7009 also inhibits late sodium current in isolated rabbit atrial and ventricular myocytes, attenuates the E-4031-induced action potential duration prolongation, induces early afterdepolarisations (EADs) in Purkinje fibres.
