Biological Activity

AdipoAI is a novel small molecule APN receptor (AdipoR, adiponectin receptor) agonist.
AdipoAI (5 uM) inhibits the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL1-β in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages, exhibits stronger inhibitory effects than AdipoRon.
AdipoAI decreases inflammation in DIO mice, protects against LPS-induced endotoxemia.
AdipoAI inhibits NF-κB and p38 MAPK signalling pathways, decreases c-Maf activation directly in LPS-induced macrophages.
AdipoR1 and APPL1 are involved in the anti-inflammatory effects of AdipoAI in macrophages.
