Emrusolmin (Anle-138b) is a novel oligomer modulator that blocks the formation of pathological aggregates of prion protein (PrP(Sc)) and of α-synuclein (α-syn).
Emrusolmin (Anle-138b) strongly inhibits all prion strains tested including BSE-derived and human prions.
Emrusolmin (Anle-138b) binds to aggregated tau and inhibits tau aggregation in vitro and in vivo.
Emrusolmin (Anle-138b) has no detectable toxicity, excellent oral bioavailability and blood-brain-barrier penetration.
