Apomine (SR-45023A) is an oral biphosphonate antineoplastic compound inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, induces HMG-CoA reductase degradation with EC50 of 0.88 uM.
Apomine (SR-45023A) inhibited growth of a wide variety of tumor cell line with IC50 of 5-14 uM.
Apomine (SR-45023A) triggered apoptosis in HL60 cells in less than 2 h, induced caspase-3 activity at concentrations similar to their IC(50) values for cell proliferation.
Apomine (SR-45023A) selectively inhibits cell proliferation and induces tumor cell apoptosis through the farnesoid X receptor.
