    Biological Activity

    Azeloprazole (E-3710, Z-215) is a potent proton pump inhibitor that irreversibly inhibits H+,K+-ATPase activity with IC50 of 0.28 uM.
    Azeloprazole inhibits histamine-stimulated gastric acid secretion with ED50 of 0.18-0.2 mg/kg in gastric fistula model in dogs, displays 2.3-fold more potency over Esomeprazole.
