Biological Activity

BMS-654457 is a potent, reversible and direct inhibitor of factor XIa (FXa) with Ki of 0.4 nM; shows high potency in the prolongation of aPTT in human and rabbit plasma (EC2X of 2.2 and 2.4 uM, respectively) without changing prothrombin time; increases bleeding time (BT), BMS-654457 is effective in the prevention of arterial thrombosis in rabbits with limited effects on BT.
