BMVC-8C3O is a novel small molecule inhibitor of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Pks13 with IC50 of 6.94 uM and SPR KD of 18.9 uM, also is a small molecule G-quadruplex (G4) ligand. BMVC-8C3O displays potential intracellular anti-TB activity in macrophages. BMVC-8C3O also is a DNA G4 ligand, is effective for non-small cell lung cancer. BMVC-8C3O effectively suppresses c-FOS expression by stabilizing G-rich sequences located at the c-FOS promoter. BMVC-8C3O exhibits inhibitory effects against H37Rv and STB-30308, with MICs of 8.291 as well as 5.492 μg/mL separately.
