Betulinic acid (Betulic acid) is a naturally occurring pentacyclic triterpenoid which has antiretroviral, antimalarial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Betulinic acid shows to be a catalytic inhibitor of Topo II with IC50 values ranging from 0.38 to 58 uM.
Betulinic acid induces cell death through induction of apoptosis and inhibition of autophagic flux in microglia BV-2 cells.
