Biological Activity

Brevilin A is an orally active STAT3/JAK inhibitor with IC50 of 10.6 uM (STAT3), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, antitumor, immunosuppressive, and anti-liver fibrosis effects, also reduces protein levels of LRRC15 in RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLSs).
Brevilin A is reported to regulate the SIRT1/Nrf2/GPX4 signaling pathway to inhibit the production of MMP1 and MMP3 and alleviate joint damage in mice.
Brevilin A effectively alleviates LPS-induced lung damage, inflammatory infiltration, and the production of proinflammatory cytokines in LPS-induced acute lung injury.
Brevilin A significantly reduced the protein levels of LRRC15 in TNF-α-induced RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLSs).
Brevilin A significantly inhibited STAT3 phosphorylation without affecting total STAT3 protein levels
Brevilin A ameliorates arthritis symptoms in CIA rats.
