Butenafine (KP363) is a synthetic benzylamine antifungal that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol by inhibiting squalene epoxidase.
Butenafine displays superior activity against Candida albicans than terbinafine and naftifine.
Butenafine demonstrates low MICs against Cryptococcus and Aspergillus.
