Biological Activity

CIO-IAA is a synthetic indole derivative and dual endothelin receptor ETA/ETB antagonist.
CIO-IAA inhibits ET-1-stimulated ROS production in RAW 264.7 cells.
CIO-IAA inhibits ET-1-induced overexpression of Nox2 enzymes in RAW 264.7 cells.
CIO-IAA suppresses ET-1-evoked overexpression of integrin CD11β in RAW 264.7.
CIO-IAA suppresses ET-1-evoked production of TNF-α and IL-6 in RAW 264.7 cells.
CIO-IAA limits ET-1–mediated increases in leukocyte adhesion to endothelial cells.
CIO-IAA limits ET-1-induced activation of NF-κB in RAW 264.7 cells.
CIO-IAA reverses ET-1-evoked vasoconstriction in rat mesenteric arteries.
