CK2 bivalent inhibitor Biv5 is a picomolar bivalent inhibitor of protein casein kinase 2 (CK2) with IC50 of 51 pM (CK2α), shows potent antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 in HEK-ACE2-TMPRSS2 and Vero cells.
Biv5 demonstrated high potency, reducing intracellular viral RNA production by approximately three logs at 20 μM.
Biv5 inhibited SARS-CoV-2 infection in HEK-ACE2-TMPRSS2 cells, as evidenced by decreased nucleoprotein detection.
Biv5 dose-dependently reduced OC43 RNA production in HRT18 cells.
Biv5 exhibited excellent selectivity against 18 known CX-4945 targets.
