An antifungal antibiotic that inhibits fatty acid synthase (FASN), also blocks cellular proliferation of KRAS-associated lung cancer cells; induces pro-survival, Akt and ERK activation, in serum-deprived KRAS mutant cancer cells; causes a dose-dependent decrease in HER2/neu protein levels in breast cancer cells.
