Compound 11626252 is a potent, specific antitubercular agent against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tb) with MIC of 0.02 ug/mL, targets cytochrome bc1 complex.
Compound 11626252 demonstrated ex vivo activity in THP-1 macrophages infected with M.tb H37Rv with IC50 of 0.011 ug/mL.
Compound 11626252 showed no activity against DS- and DR-members of the M. tb complex (MTBC), as well as against their close relative, M. marinum.
The mutation in QcrA (L356V) is responsible for resistance to Compound 11626252.
