Cytochalasin B is a cell-permeable mycotoxin that inhibits network formation by actin filaments, inhibits cell movement and induces nuclear extrusion, shows Kd value of 1.4-2.2 nM for F-actin.
Cytochalasin B also inhibits glucose transport and platelet aggregation.
Cytochalasin B blocks adenosine-induced apoptotic body formation without affecting activation of endogenous ADP-ribosylation in leukemia HL-60 cells.
