DKM 2-93 is a covalent, relatively selective inhibitor of ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme 5 (UBA5) with IC50 of 430 uM, binds to the catalytic cysteine of UBA5 cysteine 250 (C250). DKM 2-93 does not non-specifically react with large numbers of protein targets. DKM 2-93 impairs pancreatic cancer cell survival (EC50=90 uM, PaCa2) and in vivo tumor growth. UBA5 is a novel pancreatic cancer therapeutic target.
