Dabuzalgron (Ro 115-1240) is an orally active and selective α-1A adrenergic receptor agonist with pKi of 7.39 for the displacement of [3H]-prazosin binding to CHO-K1 membranes.
Dabuzalgron shows greater affinity for alpha1A than for alpha1B and alpha1D subtypes (>3o-fold).
Dabuzalgron produced non-selective, dose-dependent increases in intraurethral and arterial blood pressures in anaesthetized micropigs and rabbits.
