Zelicapavir (EDP-938) is a potent RSV viral nucleoprotein (N) inhibitor of both RSV-A and RSV-B activity, inhibits RSV induced CPE with EC50 of 52 nM in HEp-2 cells.
Zelicapavir (EDP-938) is highly active against all RSV-A and B laboratory strains and clinical isolates tested in vitro in various cell lines and assays, with EC50 of 21, 23 and 64 nM against Long (A), M37 (A) and VR-955 (B) strains, respectively, in the primary human bronchial epithelial cells (HBECs).
Zelicapavir (EDP-938) effectively blocks RSV replication by targeting a post-entry replication stage of the viral life cycle.
