Biological Activity

ETD001 is a potent, selective epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) inhibitor with IC50 of 57 nM.
ETD001 is an inhibitor of sheep ENaC with IC50 of 30.5 nM.
ETD001 shows no significant effects against hERG, CaV1.2, NaV1.5 and Kv1.5 up to 30 uM.
ETD001 prolonged retention in the airways of rats (13 % of the delivered dose retained after 6h) following intratracheal administration and a potent and long-acting effect in a sheep model of mucociliary clearance following inhalation (ED100 (4–6h) = 9 μg/kg).
