ETX0462 (ETX-0462) is a novel antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity for drug-resistant infections, inhibits Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 with MIC of 0.5 mg/mL.
ETX0462 has potent in vitro and in vivo activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa plus all other Gram-negative ESKAPE pathogens, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and biothreat pathogens.
ETX0462 maintains activity in presence of all four Ambler classes of β-lactamases.
ETX0462 also retains activity against recent CAZ/AVI-resistant KPC-3 variants.
ETX0462 displays broad-spectrum Gram-negative potency against contemporary clinical isolates of 'KAPE'pathogens.
ETX0462 also active against S. maltophilia and biothreat pathogens, including B. pseudomallei and B. mallei.
ETX0462 demonstrated robust activity in neutropenic murine thigh efficacy model (7 P.a. strains).
