Biological Activity

EU1180-590 is a brain penetrant, subunit-selective negative allosteric modulator of GluN1/GluN3A glycine-activated receptor with IC50 of 3.7 uM, with no detectable effect on GluN1/GluN3B receptors.
EU1180-590 produce noncompetitive, voltage-independent inhibition, consistent with a negative allosteric modulation mechanism.
EU1180-590 shows little to no effect on GluN1/GluN2-containing NMDA, AMPA, GABA, glycine, P2X, and kainate receptors.
