    Biological Activity

    Ebio3 is a potent, subtype-selective inhibitor of potassium channel KCNQ2 (Kv7.2), efficiently suppresses KCNQ2 currents with IC50 of 1.2 nM.
    Ebio3 shows no effect on the KCNQ1 channel, weakly inhibits KCNQ3, KCNQ4 and KCNQ5 (IC50=15-196 nM), and negligible inhibitory effects on K+, Na+, Ca2+ and H+ channels, including hERG, Kv4.2, TREK1, TREK2, TASK3, NaV1.1, CaV3.2 and Hv1.
    Ebio3 inhibits KCNQ2 pathogenic GOF variants, 10 nM Ebio3 resulted in approximately 80% or greater reduction in the outward current for R75C and I238L mutations.
