Biological Activity

Euphol is a potent and reversible monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL, MGL) inhibitor with IC50 of 315 nM (purified MGL).
Euphol inhibits non-purified MGL (cell lysates of MGL-transfected HeLa cells) with IC50 of 882 nM.
Euphol inhibits MGL through a mechanism that is rapid, reversible and non-competitive, shows reversible interaction with Cys201 of MAGL.
Euphol protects 2-AG from degradation in intact rat brain neurons.
