Biological Activity

Exoticin is a selective agonist of 6TM μ opioid receptor (6TM-μOR) with Kd of 14 uM, induces 6TM-μOR-dependent signal transduction, shows broad-spectrum analgesic efficacy.
Exoticin shows much weaker affinity for 7TM-μOR.
Exoticin does not activate traditional opioid receptors such as ΜORs, kappa-opioid receptors (KORs), or delta-opioid receptors (DORs).
Slc3a2, Lrrc59, Ppp1cb are endogenous chaperones essential for 6TM-μOR ligand binding and function.
