FABP1 inhibitor 44 is a highly selective, first-in-class FABP1 inhibitor with IC50 of 4.46 uM, does not inhibit other subtypes of FABP (FABP3/4).
FABP1 inhibitor 44 (20 mg/kg, p.o. once a day) relieved histological characteristics in NASH mice, has comparable therapeutic efficacy with OCA.
FABP1 inhibitor 44 reduces the liver total triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), and serum TC levels in NASH mouse model co-induced by WD and CCl4.
FABP1 inhibitor 44 attenuates hepatic fibrosis in the NASH model, exhibits hepatoprotection and against oxidative stress in the liver.
