Biological Activity
FFAR2 agonist 1 (FFAR2 agonist Cpd1) is a potent, specific small molecule agonist of FFAR2 (GPR43), induces FFAR2 signaling in nM concentration.
FFAR2 agonist 1 increases both ILC3 frequency and cell number while colonic ILC2s slightly decreased in frequency but not in number.
FFAR2 agonist 1 selectively increases colonic ILC3 expansion and function similar to the effects observed with acetate and propionate.
FFAR2 agonist 1 counteracts intestinal inflammation in various in vivo models of colitis.
FFAR2 agonist 1 ameliorates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) when applied in the inductive phase of the disease.
