Ferfluor-1 exhibits improved in vitro/in vivo absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination (ADME) characteristics and optimal BBB permeability comnpare with Fer-1.
Ferfluor-1 shows potent anti-ferroptosis with EC50 values of 57, 75, 2.3 nM in HT1080, OS-RC-2 and SH-SY5Y cells, respectively.
Ferfluor-1 exhibits authentic behavior like Fer-1 as being a specific ferroptosis inhibitor.
Ferfluor-1 exhibits a maximum absorption peak at 350 nm and a fluorescent (FL) emission peak at 525 nm with a large Stokes shift of 175 nm in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (with 0.5% DMSO, 37 ℃, pH =7.4).
