Biological Activity
G721-0282 is a specific small molecule inhibitor of chitinase-3 like-protein-1 (CHI3L1, YKL-40), inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis in human osteosarcoma through down-regulation of the STAT3 pathway.
G721-0282 inhibits cell growth in osteosarcoma cells, induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrests in MG63 and U2OS cells.
G721-0282 regulates apoptotic regulatory proteins and MAPK proteins, inhibits the STAT3 pathways.
G721-0282 inhibits cell migration, invasion and in vitro colony formation.
G721-0282 inhibits tumorigenesis in in vivo xenograft nude mice. G721-0282 inhibited the phosphorylation of Src kinase and the phosphorylation of STAT3.
G721-0282 reduced the expression of the STAT3 target proteins, Bcl-2 and Survivin.
