    Biological Activity

    Ganfeborole (GSK3036656, GSK656) is a potent, highly selective, orally bioavailable Mtb Leucyl-tRNA synthetase (LeuRS) with IC50 of 0.2 uM.
    GSK-656 displays no significant activity for human mitochondrial LeuRS and human cytoplasmic LeuRS (IC50>100 uM).
    GSK-656 shows potent antitubercular activity (Mtb H37Rv IC50=0.08 uM) in vitro.
    GSK-656 exhibits remarkable PK profiles and efficacy against Mtb in mouse TB infection models.
