    Biological Activity

    GTS476 (GTS-476) is a potent, selective, orally active activator of EAAT2 with EC50 of 35.1 nM in vitro glutamate uptake assays in COS cells overexpressing EAAT2.
    GTS467 has high oral bioavailability (80–85%) in the brain and plasma with a >1 h half-life under all three dosing routes ((intraperitoneal, IP, at 10 mg/kg; postoral, PO, at 10 mg/kg; and intravenous, IV, at 5 mg/kg).
