GW9508 (GW 9508) is a potent and selective FFA1 (GPR40) agonist with pEC50 of 7.32, >1,000-fold selectivity over FFA2 and FFA3 receptors.
GW9508 dose dependently potentiated glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in MIN6 cells, but not in primary rat or mouse islets.
GW9508 potentiate the KCl-mediated increase in insulin secretion in MIN6 cells.
GW9508 suppresses CFA-induced inflammatory chronic pain in vivo.
