Biological Activity

H052 is a highly potent S. aureus α-hemolysin (Hla) inhibitor, protect U937 cells from Hla-induced Ca2+ influx with EC50 of 0.01 uM, restores Hla-induced damage of host cell integrity.
H052 prevent the formation of functional pores by interacting with α-hemolysin.
H052 is active in mouse models of S. aureus lung infections, when administered prophylactically or therapeutically, either as monotherapy or when given in combination with the antibiotic linezolid.
