IITR08367 is a potent efflux inhibitor against AbaF in A. baumannii, inhibits efflux pumps by disrupting the proton gradient across the bacterial membrane.
IITR08367 acts by affecting the ΔpH component of the cell.
IITR08367 is effective against clinical strains of A. baumannii.
IITR08367 potentiates fosfomycin activity against A. baumannii RPTC-15.
Combination of fosfomycin and IITR08367 reduces in vivo A. baumannii burden in C. elegans and murine UTI model, does not show any enhanced adverse effect.
IITR08367 is a potent adjuvant for fosfomycin treatment against A. baumannii.
