Biological Activity

INP-0400 (INP0400) is a small-molecule inhibitor of type III secretion (TTS, T3SS) in Chlamydia trachomatis, inhibits intracellular replication and infectivity of C. trachomatis at micromolar concentrations, inhibits C. trachomatis reticulate bodies (RB) multiplication, binds effectively with YspD.

INP0400 inhibits reticulate bodies (RB) multiplication resulting in small inclusion bodies (SIB).

INP0400 inhibits homotypic vesicle fusion of SIB.

INP0400 inhibits terminal RB-to-elementary bodies (EB) differentiation during the late cycle.

INP0400 partially inhibits uptake of EBs, suggesting an inhibitory effect on the internalization process.
