IP2015 (IPED2015, Pudafensine, NS18313) hydrochloride is a novel monoamine transport inhibitor with IC50 of 9.5, 72.0 and 3.8 nM for hSET, hNAT and hDAT respectively, inhibits dopamine uptake and binds to DAT.
IP2015 inhibits uptake, ex vivo, of 5-HT and noradrenaline to SERT and NET with ED50 values = 49 and >45 mg·kg−1, respectively.
IP2015 (0.1-10 mg/kg) induces spontaneous erections in rats.
The PDE5 inhibitor sildenafil further enhanced the IP2015-mediated increase in intracavernosal pressure.
IP2015 also increases the number of erections in type 2 diabetic db/db mice, increases penile pressure, and in corpus cavernosum strips, and induces concentration-dependent relaxations.
