Biological Activity

IRI-1 is a specific interleukin-1 receptor I (IL-1R1)/interleukin 1β (IL-1β) interaction inhibitor with IC50 of 5.15 uM.
IRI-1 inhibits the secretion of TNF-α and IL-6 in a dose- dependent pattern with IC50 of 8.0 and 15 μM, respectively in THP-1 and Saos-2 cell line.
IRI-1 also inhibits IL-1β-induced phosphorylation of key signalling proteins downstream of receptor (IL-1R1).
IRI-1 inhibits IL-1β-mediated phosphorylation of IL1-R1, JNK, IRAK-4, and ERK in THP-1 cells.
