    Imarikiren hydrochloride (TAK-272, SCO-272) is a highly potent, selective, orally active renin inhibitor with IC50 of 2.1 nM in hPRA assay.
    Imarikiren hydrochloride (TAK-272, SCO-272) displays excellent selectivity against other aspartic proteases, such as pepsin and cathepsin D (IC50>10 uM).
    Imarikiren hydrochloride (TAK-272, SCO-272) exhibits a dramatically improved PK profile in rats, and long-lasting antihypertensive efficacy in vivo.
