Biological Activity
JB2019A (JB2019) is a small molecule activator of PAK1 (P21 Activated Kinase 1) and PAK2 (P21 Activated Kinase 2), binds to a site within the auto-inhibitory domain (AID) of PAK2.
JB2019A (JB2019) induces an allosteric conformational change in Pak2, stabilizing its active form.
JB2019A (JB2019) reduces arrhythmia and cardiac remodeling in both acute adrenergic and chronic TAC stress conditions.
JB2019A (JB2019) attenuates TAC-induced cardiac oxidative stress and abnormalities in mitochondrial structure.
JB2019A (JB2019) treatment also reduces oxidative stress, decreasing ROS levels and mitochondrial structural changes.
JB2019A (JB2019) reverses metabolic stress-induced cardiac dysfunction in both HFpEF mice and cardiac organoids.
