    Biological Activity

JSF-2414 (JSF2414) is a potent, small molecule GyrB/ParE dual binding inhibitor, simultaneously binds to ATP binding regions of DNA gyrase (GyrB) and topoisomerase (ParE) and displays potent in vitro activity against strains of MRSA, VRSA and VISA.
JSF-2414 shows prominent growth inhibition against 51 clinical MRSA strains with a modal MIC of 0.031 μg/ml (range 0.002-0.125 μg/ml).
JSF-2414 also shows potent activity against VISA (MIC range 0.0156-0.156) and VRSA (MIC range 0.0156-0.063) strains.
JSF-2414 is also highly active against Staphylococcus epidermidis (MIC range 0.002 0.004 μg/ml), Enterococcus faecium (MIC range 0.004-0.008 ug/ml), vancomycin- resistant enterococci (VRE) (MIC range 0.002- >0.5 μg/ml), and E. faecalis (MIC range 0.002-0.008μg/ml), B. anthracis (MIC range 0.049-0.098 μg/ml).
JSF-2414 also shows activity against a toxigenic C. difficile panel with MIC <0.125 μg/ml.
