    Biological Activity

    K1836 is a small molecule Stattic analog inhibitor of STAT3 signalling, blocks STAT3 phosphorylation.
    K1836 inhibits critical components of senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), including IL-6, GROα and MCP-1 production, which could theoretically modify the tumour microenvironment and interactions of tumour cells with the immune system.
    K1836 is able to modify the SASP by blocking secretion of pro-tumourigenic cytokines, including IL-6.
