Kukoamine B is a natural alkaloid compound and potent dual inhibitor for both lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and oligodeoxynucleotides containing CpG motifs (CpG DNA), also is an inhibitor of membrane PD-1/PD-L1 interaction, thereby restoring T-cell function.
Kukoamine B is a natural alkaloid compound and potent dual inhibitor for both lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and oligodeoxynucleotides containing CpG motifs (CpG DNA), also is an inhibitor of membrane PD-1/PD-L1 interaction, thereby restoring T-cell function. Kukoamine B neutralizes LPS and CpG DNA and prevents them from interacting with mouse macrophages. Kukoamine B selectively inhibits LPS- and CpG DNA-induced signal transduction and expression of pro-inflammatory mediators without interfering with signal pathways or cell viability in macrophages. Kukoamine B protects mice challenged with heat-killed Escherichia coli, and reduces the circulatory levels of LPS and TNF-α. Kukoamine B promotes TLR4-independent lipopolysaccharide uptake in murine hepatocytes.
