Biological Activity

Kv7 blocker compound 106 (C106) is a potent, subtype-selective Kv7 blocker with IC50 of 33.1 nM for Kv7.2/3 channels, without affecting cardiac Kv7.1 channels.
C106 (30 nM) inhibits roughly 50% of the current (IDRUG/ICTL at 0 mV was 43.9% ± 6.0%), with no significant change in V1/2.
C106 has IC50 of 40 ± 1 nM for Kv7.2, 40 ± 3 nM for Kv7.3 A315T mutant channels (Kv7.3*), and 15 ± 3 nM for Kv7.4 channels in CHO cells expressing homomeric Kv7.2, Kv7.3, and Kv7.4 channels, does not affect Kv7.1 currents.
